Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President of India Droupadi Murmu and European Council President Costa, European Commission President von der Leyen, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, other dignitaries take 21-gun salute at Kartavya Path, New Delhi
A month-long preparation before the pulsating intervening night of 25th and 26th, the nation – India – awaited the moment of 77th Republic Day Celebrations due to take place at Kartavya Path, New Delhi. No wonder the momentous Republic Day was arrived at after two-and-a-half-years worth of efforts to finalise the Constitution of India in 1950 after India achieved its independence from the British Rule. This day, 26th Jan., India marks the official adoption of the Constitution of India by the Independent Government of India.
From the erstwhile ‘Jan-Path’ (people’s way) to the present-day much proverbial ‘Kartavya Path’ (path of duty), India has traversed a treacherous journey from the leftovers of colonial rule to the reality of ‘Viksit Bharat’. But the fervour and gaiety of the ceremonial Republic Day Celebrations is all the more grandiloquent and all-encompassing.
As the 77th Republic Day dawn at the Kartavya Path, the nation awaited the ceremonial arrival of the Prime Minister, the President, Ministers and other dignitaries including foreign visitors to kick start the Parade ceremony, commanded by the Indian Armed Forces and Para Military forces.
The 77th Republic Day Parade wore one of nation pride with military strength, cultural diversity, technological progress and democratic spirit that resonated well with the spirit of Viksit India.
