A National Conference on Entrepreneurship Development themed: “From Policy to Incubation to Practice” was successfully organized March 21, 2026 at the University Auditorium, Sitapur Road, Lucknow. The conference was co-hosted by Maharishi University of Information Technology (MUIT), Lucknow and Green Petals Trust, Meerut.
The National Conference was inaugurated by Dr. Heera Lal, IAS, Secretary, National Integration Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
Underscoring the urgent need to nurture future-ready entrepreneurs Dr. Heera Lal said, “As job opportunities continue to shrink, entrepreneurship is no longer an option but a necessity. The youth must transform their mindset—embracing challenges as opportunities and committing to continuous learning.”
The event witnessed over 200 attendees, including policymakers, academicians, researchers, entrepreneurs, school principals and students. The dignitaries were formally welcomed by Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, Vice Chancellor of MUIT, Lucknow.

Dr. Yashpal Singh, Former Director (Environment), Government of Uttar Pradesh in his keynote address emphasized the importance of environmental compliance in startup ecosystems. Dr. Harish Yadav, Assistant Director, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, highlighted financial support mechanisms available to startups, while Dr. OP Patel, Assistant Director, Ministry of MSME, elaborated on key MSME schemes.

Mr. Satish Kumar, Assistant Director, Ministry of Food and Civil Supplies, stressed the critical role of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and innovation protection through patents.
Mr. SP Verma, Conference Convener and Director (Training and Innovation), Green Petals Trust, outlined the conference’s vision, stating that it aims to bridge gaps between academia, industry, government bodies, financial institutions and incubation ecosystems. He noted that the platform addresses key entrepreneurial challenges such as funding access, regulatory awareness, incubation support and intellectual property management.
Dr. Ratish Gupta, Director (Corporate Affairs), MUIT, delivered the vote of thanks, highlighting the conference’s role in providing practical insights through expert sessions, panel discussions, and interactive engagements.
The event also received appreciation from academic and industry leaders. Dr. Imran Khan, Director, Azad Group of Colleges, emphasized the importance of integrating entrepreneurship within educational frameworks, while Prof. Sachin Kumar, Dean, BBD School of Management, noted the conference’s potential in fostering collaboration and actionable partnerships.
The conference concluded with a strong emphasis on strengthening India’s entrepreneurship ecosystem by enabling students, startup founders, researchers, MSME representatives, financial institutions, and incubation organizations to collaborate effectively. The initiative aligns with India’s broader vision of innovation-led growth and self-reliance.
