US Bombs Three Nuclear Sites in Iran on June 22, 2025
The Donald Trump and Qatar-mediated ceasefire goes for a toss with Iran reponding to the US-led bombings on Iranians nuclear facilites by launching missile strikes on Monday (June 23) on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar – a key point for US operations in the conflict-ridden region.
As per media report, Iran is said to have violated the ceasefire by retaliating with more missile attacks in Qatar. Iran however has denied the claim of “ceasefire vilolation”.
The report quoted “The Qatari Ministry of Defense” saying it secured the country’s airspace by countering the Iranian short-and medium-range missiles with its quick and swift air defense systems.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards launched proportional response to the US strike on three of its nuclear sites the day before. According to Iranian officials, the missile strike was carried out in proportion to the number of bombs dropped by the US. A sign of de-escalation is however tangible with Iran targeting areas away from civilian zones.
Israeli media reported four persons dead in alleged Iranian missile attack. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Qatar lambasted the Iranian strike as a “flagrant violation” of its sovereignty and went on to add it’s against the international law.
Israel has accepted Donald Trump’s ceasefire proposal to end the hostilities, media quoted Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu.
