Apple’s c-suite AI In-charge Ruoming Pang Quits Meta

Ruoming Pang, Apple’s c-suite executive in-charge of Artificial Intelligence foundation models team, is set to quit the company and join Meta Platforms, Bloomberg News reported on Monday, July 8, 2025.

As per the report, Pang is expected to join new superintelligence team at Meta worth packages millions of dollars per year.

Meta and Apple Officials in the know of the development are yet to make official announcement, another report cited.

According to online reports, Meta has been headhunting for high-potentials for multi-million dollar pay packages to lead the AI to the next level.

Mark Zuckerberg, Meta CEO, has set up a new division called Meta Superintelligence Labs to streamline the company’s AI efforts. Alexandar Wang, former CEO of Scale AI, is reported to be the chief AI officer of the new division at the tech giant.

Meta scaled up the valuation of Scale AI to $29 billion by investment in a buy-out that includes its 28-year-old CEO Wang.
